A) Using the above link, look up a museum, exhibit or piece of art that has to do with SpanishLanguage and Culture. You could search by an artist you know and like, or a country you are interestedin, or by something broader, such Spanish-speaking World, or by terms, such as Spanish/Latino/Latinx/Hispanic Museum/Art.
B) Once you have found an exhibit you like, look for the art piece you will describe, and copy andpaste the URL as a Hyperlink onto your paper. This is so that I can look at the piece of art while Iam reading your papers.
C) Write your paper (in English), which consists of five paragraphs (1-2 pages, single space, 12pt), asfollows:
1. Introduction: How did you end up with this exhibit and/or art piece? Did you look it up specifically,or come across it randomly, etc. ? Is it a country, or artist you were previously interested in, orsomething brand new to you?
2. Description of the institution and the exhibit in general: Describe the institution. Where is it? Howlong has it been there? Is it a state institution, or private? Etc. Describe the exhibit the art piece is foundin. What is the goal of the exhibit? How did it come about? Who organized it? Etc.
3. Describe one piece of art in particular within the exhibit: Describe what it looks like, what it is madeof, if relevant, when and by whom it was made, etc. Part of this will also be to include anything youlearn about it, such as meaning, context, artists intentions. You could also compare art pieces withinthe exhibit, if you would like to do that.
4. Evaluation and your own interpretation of the art piece. Do you like it, or not? Why or why not? Bespecific. Do you understand what the artist meant by it? Give your own interpretation, and compare itto the artists intent (if stated)
