Backdrop to your Assignment 1:

Before the pandemic hit, grocery stores were either comfortable with, or were just beginning the sales of groceries online, and were delivering the same to the homes of their customers, with either a fee, or through membership. However, this convenience was not being used by most shoppers. When the pandemic hit, stores were caught off guard, and so were consumers. Within a few days to weeks, curbside pickup, along with other options were being generated to bring groceries to customers, with the safety precautions in place. In this crisis management, and post pandemic, the workers in stores are increasingly under pressure to deliver goods faster than ever before to consumers, whichever way possible. 

So, with that understanding, do the following:

Review several concepts along with examples about the supply chain management within this first assignment. Chapters 1 and 2 are your guide to get started. Explain the opportunity, challenge, and the use of resources within retail businesses, as to how they deliver the product to the customer. What are the challenges for the workers, and what stress are they going through to deliver quick results. Have you experienced any of the issues, whether as a worker or a customer? Find examples from the news and add them within your submission.
