Visit Web sites or research other journal articles that help health care leaders provide culturally competent health services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals.
Then, in 250 words or less, answer the following:
Identify and discuss diversity (differences among the sexual minorities) within the LGBT community that health care professions need to consider.
As a business leader or manager in the health care industry (from the perspective of your course project), consider the following:
Select two of the LGBT groups, and list two health issues for each, discussing the importance for health care providers in understanding these disparities.
From a health care leader or administrator’s perspective, what type of activities might you suggest be developed and implemented to improve cultural competency and overcome health disparities?
How important are health education or community outreach programs in increasing cultural sensitivity toward the LGBT Community?
