Does the inclusion of these admonitions suggest that not becoming a slut is no more or less important than ironing correctly, or does it suggest just the opposite? Is there an inner coherence or logic to these pieces of advice and/or to the order in which they are given? How does the older definition of a slut as an untidy housekeeper augment or complicate these reminders?
