Assignment Requirements:
- Your introduction must contain a clearly defined problem statement that sets up the solution you will be presenting.
- Develop at least three sub-claims that support your argument. Build the body of your project based on these sub-claims.
- Include a conclusion that summarizes your argument and clearly states a proposal for change or a solution to the problem.
- Use a minimum of four visuals (pictures, graphs, charts, etc.) in this presentation that support your argument.
- Use a minimum of three outside sources to support your argument. You must properly reference your sources with APA style or MLA style. However, you have the option to use footnotes instead of in-text citations and citation page. Footnotes mean that you would insert a superscript (small, raised) number after the source usage. You would then place the same superscript number at the bottom of the page or section and the properly formatted APA or MLA citation would be listed with the number.
- Unless you are using footnotes, include a works cited or reference page at the end of your project that is worked into the design of your infographic. It should not be on a seperate page. It must be part of the design of your project.
- Use audience friendly colors and fonts/text. Avoid or limit use of all-caps, bullet points, slang, contractions, and graphic or otherwise inappropriate images. Use white-space. White-space is the spacing around and between text and images. White-space allows our eyes to rest and adjust.
- Write a memo and submit it as a separate document (or type it into the memo notes) that explains the following:
- Your intended audience
- How the design you chose will help you reach your audience
- Why you chose the four visuals that you included
- An explanation of the choices you made about layout, colors, and white space
