The longest military engagement fought in the United States involved the wars for territory between Europeans and later Americans against the indigenous peoples of America.
For this follow up, you will select one of the battles or wars listed below. In our library or from the AIE readings, you will research the war and describe the events of the battle. In your follow up essay, explain who fought, why they fought, and what the end result was. You must use at least one academic source (No Wikipedia). Post your main statement by Friday night and reply to at least two classmates by Sunday night.
No repeats or duplication of topics–so please stake a claim to the war or battle you want ASAP. Place the name of the battle or war in the subject line of your discussion to claim that battle to let your peers know what you have claimed and then edit your claimed post with the information on the battle.
