For Roman and Sanskrit theatre, this was actually a kind of challenging task. Two video, one about Sign Language Theatre, which has an interesting corollary with Sanskrit theatre’s attention to gesture and movement, and one on theatrical adaptation, which is interesting to think about in terms of the Romans adapting of Greek plays. How do the artists interviewed here talk about their work? How might we see Sign Language theatre as a kind of adaptation? How might these forms of theatre, for you, reflect our contemporary experience?
