Assignment 1 – Introductory SCM Group Presentation:
The purpose of this introductory assignment is to enable students to undertake a wide ranging review of the SCM literature contained in books and journal articles etc to become familiar with key SCM theories and concepts and their respective authors. Then to develop critical evaluation skills through group discussion – arguing, determining, explaining and finally presenting their analysis to the class.
In their team presentations, students are required to clearly link theory to practice by presenting which SCM concepts and theories (citing their authors) are relevant and applicable to real life supply chains for Bottled Water.
Assignment 2
The purpose of this INDIVIDUAL REPORT is to document your own analysis of the Assignment 1 case study based upon your learning from the research and analysis you did in your group for Part 1A and also from the learning presented and shared by other groups in class and the feedback received from your teachers.
Assignment 3
The purpose of this advanced assignment is to enable students to undertake a deeper and more narrowly focused literature review of the body of knowledge on Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) in New Product and Process Development (NPPD). Through this literature review, students are expected to discover key ESI and NPPD theories and concepts and their respective authors.
In order to further develop their critical evaluation skills of complex supply chain issues, students are required to work in groups to discuss, argue, determine, explain and finally present their analysis to the class.
