You have already written a literary analysis essay on a short story. Now you will write a literary analysis essay in which you compare and/or contrast two poems.
Some questions to get you started:
How did the poems make you feel?
Did you recognize symbolism?
What were the themes of the poems?
What might have been the authors’ purposes in writing these works?
What imagery was used (metaphorical language, simile, personification)?
What are the rhyme schemes and how do they contribute to the effect?
Do you know biographical information that sheds light on the authors’ probably purposes?
How do the works reflect the historical period(s) in which they were written?
I have the thesis and intro paragraph done. I started the first sentence of body paragraph. I have the outline answering most of the questions she asked us to think about for each poem. I have my work cited page for the two poems in MLA format and the urls for each poem
