 Your formal report assignment includes a letter/memorandum of transmittal, as well as a single-spaced report containing front matter, text, visual aids, and a list of references.  The body of your report (does not include front matter or list of references) must be at least 1500 words in length.

Chapter 10 (chpt 11 in 12th ed.) provides information on how to write a formal report. You should properly paginated your formal report with both Roman and Arabic numerals, and the report should demonstrate the use of two levels of headings making sure to develop at least one paragraph beneath each header before subdividing. Emphasis of important information can be made through the use of lists and bullets. You must include at least one visual aid such as a table, graph or illustration in your report, and properly integrate the visual aid into your report–as well as label, title, introduce and explain it. Chapter 5 (chpt 7 in 12th ed.) presents information on creating and using visual aids.

The assignment requires you to use a minimum of six credible sources, three of which must be from peer-edited academic  journals or periodicals. You are required to use the APA form of documentation to give credit when you quote, paraphrase or summarize the work of another author. Your report should include at least one short quote, one extended quote and one paraphrase from another source to evidence your ability to properly document your use of each with an in-text citation. Demonstrating an understanding of APA documentation is an important objective in this assignment.
