Conceptual Models

After completing this week’s reading, identify an issue in your clinical practice that you believe needs improvement. Keep it simple–this should not be your DNP project topic, we’ll take that on later in the semester. Select one of the conceptual models discussed in Chapter 3 (S-P-O, Effectiveness-Efficiency-Equity, Logic Model, Iowa Model, PDSA, etc.) and discuss how you could apply the conceptual model to plan a project to improve the identified problem.

Hint: If you choose PDSA, IHI QI 103 course may help with this assignment, however, QI 103 is not due until week 3.

Initial post is due Friday at 11:59 pm. Begin responding to your peers’ posts (minimum two) and discuss application of the model–For example, Have you utilized the model they chose? How did it work? Do you think another model may be more fitting for the clinical problem and potential solution they selected?  All responses are due Sunday at 11:59 pm.
