You are to write a monograph of your learning experience with regard to the content of the course. Equal attention is to be given to the mechanics, the exposition, and the content of the paper. This reflection paper should include an original title, an Introduction with a clear thesis and an appropriate summary. Of the 10 possible points. Roughly one-third of the grade is for an initial section reviewing significant philosophic and ethical perspectives specifically identifying those view and values you endorse, and those which you find contrary or problematic. While this is a reflection on the course, a week-by-week review of the course content is not appropriate. Likewise, a course evaluation either positive or negative is not to be submitted; learners are strongly encouraged to complete the anonymous course evaluation for that purpose.
Another third of the grade is for reviewing relevant perspective on Ethics as an academic discipline, as a reflection of society as a whole and its relevance to us as individual moral agents. Reflection on the Course material on these areas is recommended, including both the first introductory week and the at least three different Weekly Topics we examined. As you already composed a reflection on the Ethics Game material last week, please limit your comments on that aspect of the course here however, citing how it was incorporated into the Revealing Ethics content and how it complimented or augmented the weekly topics would be appropriate. Additional research is not expected or recommended.
The remainder of the points and the paper are to be oriented toward the future, both your own and that of society as whole; how do you envision incorporating your personal values and principles in your personal and professional life? What values and principles do you think would most benefit individuals and society? Throughout the paper citing elements of the course interaction: consider journal interaction, topic discussions, specific aspects of the EthicsGame or perhaps a significant dialogue in Revealing Ethics, etc. Anything that is relevant to shaping your current perspective would be appropriate, though not required.
