This paper needs to be an evaluative research paper. I have already written a thesis for my paper which was accepted by my professor. The thesis is: In addition to pets making their owners happy, studies have proven that there are multiple benefits to having an animal companion as they can improve one’s mental well-being and health. In this paper, I will be evaluating the benefits of having an animal companion on a physical and mental aspect. I have attached 5 sources that I need to use for my paper, you can add any additional information from other reliable sources as well.
These are the requirements set by my professor:
The paper should be at least 1,500 words (not counting the Works Cited page). Your paper will inevitably do some informing. But its larger purpose should involve argumentation, persuasion, or evaluation (I chose an evaluative paper). A purely informative thesis is not adequate for our purposes.Your paper should adhere to MLA style. Using MLA style for your paper means citing your sources within the body of your paper and including a Works Cited page at the end. Formatting counts. The Works Cited page lists the sources you depended upon in your paper. One or more of your additional sources must be peer-reviewed. While I don’t absolutely mandate that all journals consulted be peer-reviewed, there should be scholarly credibility in all of your sources. Evaluate your sources for credibility. Please place an asterisk (*) beside peer reviewed sources on your Works Cited page. In terms of minimum number of sources to use, about five or six is reasonable. A research paper is an essay. The paper must have an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. The thesis should be narrow enough to be appropriate for a 1,500 word paper. The body paragraphs should have topic sentences and clear patterns of organization. And the body paragraphs should use research to develop and prove the thesis. They should be detailed, referring to reputable sources.
