Do you know of any history of interventions or social movements involving this population or social issue and how that was (or was not) effective for increasing/improving accessible and relevant mental health care?
2. Describe the mental health need you believe this population or community is experiencing and/or the barriers the community members face in accessing support for their need.
3. Describe your idea/plan/resource and how you believe it could be most effectively implemented.
4. Explain how the community or population will be involved in addressing and supporting their own needs and how your idea/service/resource incorporates the empowerment of the community served.
5. Discuss how this service/resource/intervention achieves any of the elements of or concepts related to social justice informed psychology. Here you might include a discussion of how you believe your idea might target or accomplish any of the following:
-empowering marginalized communities
-offering an accessible and relevant healing method for an oppressed or marginalized community
-promoting increased community building and cohesiveness
-increasing opportunities for members of a community to help and support each other
-implementing strategies or opportunities for community members to work towards social change
-identifying specific needs or challenges unique to an oppressed or marginalized community that community members can now begin to address
-educating and raising awareness about the issues and injustices facing the community with whom you are working
