Introduction
This is where you state, in at least a page, why your research question is necessary/important. What is it that you are interested in studying? How does it matter in the real world? Why should we care to study your questions? You must appeal to the reader and convince them of the importance. What have other researchers found about this topic? (Your literature review should be part of this section).

Research Question/Hypotheses
In this section, you will present the research question being studied and the 2 hypotheses for your research topic.Below are the hypothesis and research question you wil be using for this research proposal.
Research question: How does a person’s skin color race affect being stopped by police while driving a motor vehicle?
Hypothesis:H1: Colored (Black and Hispanic) people are more likely than white people to be stopped by police while driving a motor vehicle.
Hypothesis 2: Colored (Black and Hispanic) people are more likely than white people to be detained by police while driving a motor vehicle.

Research Design and Methods
What type of study is this (qualitative or quantitative). Specifically of which type ((survey collected by you, observation, secondary data analysis (data collected by someone else or an agency)). How was the data actually collected for your study and by whom? How many cases will you be analyzing? Identify your independent and dependent variable for each hypothesis. Next, you need to operationalize your variables into measurable dimensions (wording used for the variables/questions in your hypotheses) and attributes (possible responses available for the question). Which statistics do you plan to use to test your hypotheses.

Ethics
In this section you need to identify any possible ethical issues regarding this study. If no ethical issues are apparent, make a statement to indicate this.

Significance of Research
Here you need to describe what practical application the results of your research may have. How can the findings be used in the criminal justice system? Present at least 3 different ways that the results of the research may be used in a practical manner.
