From an average student in mathematics to the topper of national level high school mathematics exam ,my journey has been tough.
But I will not say that this is my only big achievement of all times , I achieve something big everyday, by making someone smile
, by brightening up someone’s day . My journey of encountering obstacles to achieve success didn’t only include
securing the first position in mathematics exam, it also includes the obstacles I faced to become the person I am
today. I am proud of the person I have become.
Being mentally tortured by my father since a very young age,here I stand still strong or even stronger and
that’s what I am proud of. Coming from a backward area in India where daughters are not allowed to attend secondary
school, I am lucky to have a family that supports me to study and achieve my dreams. At one phase of my life ,
many people demotivated me when I couldn’t score good in maths because I was great in other subjects except maths.
I am proud that I proved them wrong. Society really plays a major role in building ourselves. It challenges
us to encounter the obstacles we face. A great man is the one who can face and solve major challenges with
Power, passion and winning spirit, not the one who can only solve maths problems. I believe in the supremacy
of a strong and roaring personality who fears no one but fear itself.
Our housemaid has three daughters. She wanted them to get married as soon as possible because they are a
liability for her. I could see their innocent faces, pure hearts, those eyes filled with dreams, that will to run free
in the ground and play their heart out. So I showed the audacity to fight for them to send them into local
government schools instead of getting them married at such an immature age. Now all three of them are doing
good and I am sure that they would do something great in life. That’s where I saw success after
encountering an obstacle.
