Your paper should be composed of three parts: An introduction (1-2 pages); your literature review (5-6 pages), and a “present study” section (1 page). Your introduction will introduce the reader to the topic area, why the area is important and what you will specifically be examining in your study. You will end your introduction with an outline of what’s to follow in your paper. Your literature review will review the literature that is relevant to your research topic (i.e., this is what we know…) You will end your introduction with something along the lines of: based on what we know, we still don’t know X. Thus, the present study is going to examine X. Your present study section will then logically follow from the literature. You will state what your study will examine and why it is important.
You will need to include at least 10 citations and a reference section (does not count towards the page limit). The writing assignment will be due on the last day of class, January 24th at 11:59pm.
