Captain John smith wrote a letter to Queen Anne which possessed the main topic who which is Pocahontas. John smith also spoke high on the queen herself to persuade her. John smith is trying to persuade the queen to respect and welcome Pocahontas into England. John smith knew he need to make this letter admirable to the queen in order to persuade her. With that so he started his letter off with Most admired Queen, the love I bear my God, my King and Country.
After introducing his means for the letter, John smith begins his letter with a story from 10 years ago. He explains how he was taken prisoner by the Powhatan tribe’s chief king. He explains how he received great courtesy from the king, Nantaquaus, his son, and Pocahontas, his daughter. John smith states after six weeks of dealing with being a prisoner at the minute of his execution Pocahontas stood up for John putting herself at risk and demanded he be returned to Jamestown. After being returned John found about eight and thirty sick and starving people. Without being fed by the tribe they would surely have starved. Pocahontas made sure that didn’t happen, and she stole things from her own tribe just for them.
Pocahontas continued to be a spy. She eventually became prisoner for about two years. Where then she ended up marrying an Englishmen and had a child. John continues to beg the queen for Pocahontas to be able to fit in and attend. John explains the least he can do for her after all the things she did for him is to grant this favor and bring it upon the queen.
