The intent of this research is to gather already existing information on tax control
frameworks which will be used to build one for company X. The main research
method that will be used for this study is desk research. The desk research, also
known as secondary research, will involve studying and analyzing data and research
conducted on the topic and then coming up with recommendations on how the
company X can approach its taxation on VAT at the shared service center. This
research will be well suited for this study because many studies have been
conducted on the topic, and this will provide valuable information that can help
answer all the research questions. The second main method will be primary
research. I will conduct interviews with the employees who work with value added
tax for UK and Germany in the organization. This will give a clear view of how the
situation currently looks like in company X and which areas of the process need to be
improved by introducing controls. –
