As employees we are covered by federal, state, county, and local laws. These laws have been put into place to ensure everyone is treated equally.  The EEOC states that if employers would provide proper training and education a lot of issues that arise could be avoided in the workplace. 

As an employee, have you been in the presences of a law being broken? What laws have you seen broken? What role does the Health Unit Coordinator play to ensure these laws are maintained on the patient floors with staff and patients?
