The logical framework matrix gave me a broader picture of my project. It gives me detailed planning with clearly defined objectives that I can observe at the same time monitored. I can see a big management responsibility—it pre-determined evaluation process. I’m able to recognize the strength, identify weaknesses, grab the opportunities to work on, and to prevent any external threat on my project. It creates a deliverable insight. It helps establish a crucial indicator to help pinpoint the openings to build a continuous process for improvement.

According to Barreto Dillon (2019), the logical framework approach it is the synopsis of what the project entails to do and how. What the significant assumptions are as well as the risk, and how the outputs and the outcome will be scrutinized and assessed. Conversely, this method has advantages and disadvantages:

Advantages (Barreto Dillon, 2019):

  1. Through the early phase serves to test the project viewpoints and hypotheses for the importance and practicality.
  2. Provide an organizational approach and reasonable investigation to a significant component that creates a structuredprocess
  3. Explains relationships of the project and the external
  4. Used as a reference for a detailed planning
  5. Vehicle of communications for the parties involved in the project

Disadvantages (Barreto Dillon, 2019):

  1. It focuses more on the problems.
  2. Unyielding methodology. Not open for creativity and innovation
  3. Limited attention to learning
  4. Result-oriented might miss the step of the process.

The tools are strong fundamentals for communication.

2nd Post (Student name: Barbara Caporusso)

The Logical Framework Matrix did help me to think logically about my project. To refresh, my project is the creation of a nurse-led PICC team. This matrix helped to organize my thinking by assisting me with listing the tasks that I want to accomplish and what the resources are that will make me successful. I did not notice any weakness in my project design. It will cost money, which I guess is always a weakness, but the advantages due to an increase in reimbursement, elimination of waste, and reduction in infection rates due to the team creating a standardization of insertion policy and procedure will enable my facility to recoup the cost of this project within the first year of implementation. The LFM helped me to envision the expected contribution of the project to the nurses, staff, stakeholders and the facility. This matrix helped me create a clear vision to set goals and detail how those goals will be measured and what exactly is needed to achieve those goals. Because the matrix helps to identify the resources needed to be successful, I can rally support for my project by illustrating the benefits of my project to key stakeholders.
