for the first pages of the paperwork on the description ofthe novel and summarize what the author’s thesis and argument are, should be nolonger than a page and a half. For the next 2-3 pages work on analyzing thenovel by considering the following questions: What philosophicalpositions does the author take? How does the author justify her/his argument?Are the authors premises true, probable, or plausible? Is the argument of thebook sound? Are there historical comparisons? What was the context of thewriting? Which other philosophers have taken a similar/opposite view to theauthor? for any of the historical comparisons, see if you can bring up anything by any ancient philosophers that can support any claims that you make
All questions do not have to be answered, so long as you fitthem into 2-3 pages. for the final 2-3 pages work on a response in which you describewhether you agree with the author? Present a reasoned argument why you door do not? What other philosophy/philosophers would you use to support your response?How would you modify the authors position?
